Will be used in the woods, moving dirt, snow, compost gravel, clearing and winching logs, bush hogging and general work on 30 acres.
Will use buddy's bush hog, winch and 6 ft. Would greatly appreciate thoughts on pricing and comparison. Located in central Maine. Thanks in advance!!!!!! Reply With Quote. I am familiar with the tractors that they built for John Deere that I had " '88 JD and '00 JD " ,Excellent tractors and engines in quality and longevity. I also have a Kubota M59 that I'm not real impressed with the quality of the machine but have had no problems with the engine.
Allthough the yanmar has a tad more power and slightly stronger loader, I didnt realize they were priced as high as the kubota grand L series. I think the kubota will have LOTS better resale value years down the road. Have you priced a L? Closer loader specs and HP to the LX Re: Kubota VS Yanmar It's not really possible for anyone to give you an opinion on pricing without a breakdown. Not quite as fancy in the cab area but more HP etc.
I guess my intrigue is the Yanmar. Being new to the game was not aware how they "made the green" for a number of years. I know they sold as Cub Cadet and have now gone independent.
Just curious to the quality of the tractor - they aren't the common name like Kubota and John Deere. Thanks for your thoughts. Re: Kubota VS Yanmar not Both have standard features.
That includes various cash discounts on both.
Hope that give a bit more detail. Can certainly ask. Is it a tractor you know or have some positive things to say about. Again - I'm not familiar with all various models and brands. Appreciate the info. Resale is much stronger. Re: Kubota VS Yanmar. This question plagues ranchers and farmers all over the United States.
Every angle must be assessed, every feature considered multiple times, comparing parts and accessories, ergonomics, and more. Buying the perfect tractor for your needs is a big financial decision. Their parent company, Mahindra and Mahindra, have been making farm equipment since Today, Mahindra Tractors sell the most tractors by volume in the entire world.
Mahindra mostly builds their tractors but has been known to source tractors from elsewhere whenever they may find it profitable. All Mahindra tractors are manufactured overseas, either in India or China. This fact presents a massive contrast in Mahindra vs.

Kubota tractors. At least half of Kubota tractors are made in the United States with plans on that percentage going up quickly.
Its US headquarters is in Grapevine, Texas, where the company handles all the sales, distribution, financing, and insurance services throughout the US. As it stands right now, about half of all Kubota products that are sold in the US are made in Japan. The other half is made in Gainesville, Georgia, where the company has a vast facility to manufacture and assemble mowers, tractors, and other implements and accessories. Kubota plans to expand the Georgia manufacturing plant so that one day, all Kubota products sold in the US are made in the US.

Consider the different pricing, service, and design components of both Mahindra and Kubota tractors. Mahindra vs. Kubota prices varies wildly depending on the model and the dealership you purchase your tractor from. There are accurate reports of Mahindra being the less expensive of the two. However, this is a general comparison that prices only the tractor and not all the other things needed like accessories, parts, service, and implements. Servicing is huge for tractor owners because when your tool breaks down, the job cannot get done.
This can be devastating to those that rely on their tractor for a living. An excellent service network that provides customer service, warranties, parts, and local service shops are essential in a good company. Which service is better? Kubota or Mahindra? Recently, Mahindra has upped their game in the service department.
Previously, there was a problem with finding parts for Mahindra tractors. If parts were found, it would take weeks or more to receive them.Forum Rules. Home Forums Reviews Articles Store.

If you were me which would you buy? I know every one has their own opinion on this subject.
Just trying to get some feel from owners. Reply With Quote. My thought would be a Kubota-not because I own one, but because I imagine parts and support may be easier to find. Ditto on Kubota How close is the nearest Yanmar dealer? My rule of thumb is, the more expensive an item is, the longer I intend to keep it. I have had my Kubota 15 years and expect 10 more. Id prefer a used kubota vs a new tractor from Northern equipment, even at the same price.
I have never had any trouble out of our Kubota tractors. Re: Yanmar vs Kubota My thoughts - If you're mechanically inclined and don't mind working on your equipment yourself, you might consider a Yanmar, they're good solid tractors and parts are fairly available for certain models from Hoye's Tractor Parts.
Fredricks sells reconditioned Yanmars, with a warranty and they also have parts. I'd not hesitate to buy a Yanmar from Fredricks but then again, I like to work on my equipment. Need a loader and backhoe. I realize price not the only or first consideration. Thank you, gentlemen! Reply With Quote. Re: Deere vs Yanmar vs Kubota With yanmar building most compact deere tractors. Yanmar quality will be as good as deere. Kubota ZD 07 Dodge 5.
My front wheel assist on my says Spicer. Don't think that's made by Yanmar. Re: Deere vs Yanmar vs Kubota. Originally Posted by pmsmechanic. I know Yanmar supplies deere with engines. Certainly they're a bigger engine maker than a tractor maker, but they've been producing tractors this size as long as Kubota and Deere have.
Yanmar has made complete tractors for Deere in the past. Nowadays Deere is farming more stuff out to India and China instead of Japan, this may be one of the reasons Yanmar is selling tractors in the USA again under their own name.
The Bolens and Yanmar can be hard to get parts for. That said, I think you nailed it when saying condition is of prime importance. That and your local dealer support for the brand. It's worth checking parts availability with a dealer before buying any older tractor. I know that JD historically has kept parts inventories for a long time, but who knows what that situation will be like going forward.
Not sure about Kubota. Posted April 04, - PM. Most of the time I do not need 4wd to do loader work. However, it's nice to have that magic lever there when you get into slippery conditions, mud, rough terrain etc. Even in sand, the front wheels have a tendency to plow when you turn in 2wd but will bite in and turn when 4wd is engaged. A good set of chains is a must if you do snow removal on ice or have any hills to contend with.
The chains make a huge difference. When purchasing a used tractor check the tire sizes. Some can be hard to find, making them expensive. There are also a lot of refurbished Japanese tractors out there that have been imported and sold. They often have very aggressive rice paddy type tires, which look like an AG tire with very aggressive lugs.
I would not recommend going that route for sure as parts can and will be a problem. It also became a problem when I wanted to trade for something else as no JD dealer wanted to trade for it.
Also bought a Kubota B which was one of the earliest models imported into the US and had a opposite rotation rear pto which required special pto implements or a pto reverser. Both of the brands you mention make good machines. Please use the navigational links on your left to explore our website.
Kubota vs Yanmar. Hey folks. I am in the market for a hp loader tractor with a backhoe. I plan to use the tractor for ditching, general loader work and to power a small sawmill.
The tractors I looked at have manual transmissions with shuttle-shift, mechanical injected diesel, 1 hydraulic remote, rear locker and Three-point function when the hoe is removed. Also they are fwa. The John Deere dealer pretty much gave me the brush off. Kubota and Yanmar dealers service locally and carry parts. Any opinions on these tractors? I want to buy a tractor that I can keep for 25 years or so. The OP isn't going to be impressed with any brand in the BX class for what he wants to do.
He's looking for a HP tractor. Kubota has owned the market for the kind of tractor the OP wants for a long time. But around here at least, NH is gaining market share. Another brand that has a growing presence in that market is Bobcat. Thanks all for the excellent information and experience. As of now I am leaning toward the Kubota.
I am going to drive both and see how I like each. Brad, My neighbor just bought a BX23 with add-on loader and hoe.
His is rated around pounds. He can't lift a full bucket of dirt.
