It worked for a couple of days. Now when I try to crank it the rpm needle will not move and it will not start. Could it be something electrical, is it my starter, or something else??? Please help!!! I apologize if it's a 94 it's going to be OBD1 and you can check it with a paper clip, very easy a ten yr old could do it!! You'll need an obd1 chart for your vehicle make and model place the jumper cable in the. Obd1 port turn the key forward ,but dnt start ,jst til the lights come on notice your check engine light come on,it should blink once a short pause then blinks twice that means code twelve,it just means diagnostics have begun and the system is preparing to throw codes ,so it will blink code twelve 3xs to give you a chance to catch it have a pin and tablet handy,then it will start blinking out the problem codes ,each code will go 3xs and then it will continue on to the next,after you write down all codes it will start over with code 12 ,you can view a code chart on Google and there numbered codes 12 thru?

Blow both out with air. You say it has fuel. That is what is in the tank. You don't know what kind of crud is sitting in the carburetor's float bowl. Untreated fuel goes bad in a few months leaving behind a sticky goo like substance.

Candid Chris. I did a compressin test, the pull start only gets the mower to 60psi but the drill gets the mower to psi. I tore the ead off and checked and cleaned the valves.

First thing to do when your bike won't start is be sure everything is turned on. It's best to find out that you've made a stupid mistake before anyone else finds out. Check the kill switch, fuel shut off on the tank Sabres onlypet cock and ignition switch. Pick a system, test the heck out of it until you are certain that it is good then go to the next system. Jumping from one thing to another is a waste of time.
There are three things an engine needs to run: Compression, Ignition and mixture. All in the right amounts and at the right time. The very first thing to do, because it is simplistic, is to crank the engine and listen to it. Does it spin over freely and have a rhythmic change in cranking speed as each piston comes up on compression? Can you hear pulses out the exhaust as each exhaust stroke happens? Does the sound change as you open and close the throttle? Is there an absence of knocking, rattling, clanking, etc.?
If all of this is true then you probably have a mechanically sound engine. This takes about 10 seconds and then you can move on to other things.
