In this section we convert triple integrals in rectangular coordinates into a triple integral in either cylindrical or spherical coordinates. The whole problem was caused by me thinking about the volume "inside" the paraboloid, while the task was to calculate it "outside", enclosed by the cylinder.

Hey guys, I know this is bringing up an old topic, but I wanted to inquire about something, as well as make sure I approached the final equation correctly. To clear up the confusion from vela- yes, I am planning to go with the description saying that since they said to find the volume as indicated in the picture, my limits I set up was going to be from 0. After evaluating this, I obtained -pi as my answer. When I reversed the two functions, I indeed get pi as the answer.

However, that doesn't make sense- wouldn't the z1 function have to be the function of the paraboloid, and the volume is a subtraction of the cylinder function z2 from z1? She laid out every detail of the trip, provided maps and location of hotels and ferry's we were to cross, and told us what to expect at every stage of the trip.

She then followed up while we were traveling to make sure everything was going good.It was well organised - all arrangements timed perfectly - good background information in the itinery We thought our guide was absolutely wonderful. I loved all of it, and I appreciated the amount of time we spent as a group and also the time to be on our own.

The transportation from city to city was excellent, and the ferry ride to Oslo from Copenhagen was fantastic. Everything in the itinerary was in place and there were no hassles. All the hotels selected by you were wonderful. Overall a wonderful experience. Helga, our tour consultant, went above and beyond with her service.

We really appreciated the detailed maps she had for us in our package. She gave us lots of options and ideas for things to do as we traveled - even marking places where we could get homemade ice cream along the way.

We enjoyed our trip so much that we stopped in to the office at the end of the trip to thank Helga again. We even made a video clip, telling about some of our great experiences. Iceland is a beautiful country. This tour was a perfect way to share the beauty and the friendliness of the country. It made it more of an adventure to self drive, go our own pace, choose our own sights, but all the while with the security of excellent support materials provided by Nordic Visitor.

Some sites near Reykjavik were crowded with tour buses but around the rest of the tour, we could still be much less crowded and enjoyable, and even alone at many places. I would like also to mention that Kristin put this whole trip together for us with only 5 weeks notice, well done. We were very impressed with how smoothly everything went. Nordic Visitor did an excellent job of organising our trip.

We just gave them our dates of arrival and departure and everything else was handled for us. This allowed us to focus on sight-seeing rather than worrying about routes or accommodations. You can only see so much in a week though, so I guess we'll have to come back to this amazing destination.
